Testing Now Underway

Testing is now in progress.  After checking for any low resistances with the ohm meter no problems were found.  I then attached the battery and measured the current which was 800 mA which according to G0OKD was well within parameters. 

I then checked the voltages across R6 and R2 which were showing voltage drops which gain indicated the circuit was drawing current correctly.  On applying my new high tech audio probe  (.75mm steel crochet hook) to pin 2 of IC2 LM368 audio amplifier an very loud hum was heard through the speakers inducing that all is well with the af amplifier. 

The next stage will be to check the output for the NE612 mixer IC.

The End Is In Sight

Slowly over the week. sadly work gets in the way, the final parts have been soldered, wire to gain control, tuning capacitor etc all in place.  All it needs now is a final checking over for solder bridge and dry joints and it will be ready for testing.
